Job Description : A Master of Science in Applied Science position is available in Intelligent Control for Wind Energy Conversion Systems at Engineering Division, Saint Mary’s University, Halifax, Canada.
Successful M. Sc. candidate will work on the development of Intelligent Controllers for Variable Speed Wind Energy Conversion Systems
The research will be supervised by Dr. Adel Merabet, Mechatronics Laboratory, and co-supervised by Dr. Jogendra S. Thongam, Department of Renewable Energy Systems, STAS Inc. Chicoutimi, QC, Canada


These are challenging research and involve theoretical and experimental work.
The candidate should have a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields with a focus on Energy Systems, Electrical Machines, Control, Power Electronics and Electrical Network.
Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK is essential.

Job Description : The Graduate School of Excellence Materials Science in Mainz in Mainz (Germany) invites suitable candidates to apply for a position in our International PhD program


Applicants must hold an outstanding Masters degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics or related fields. It is not necessary to hold the degree at the point of application. However, the degree must have been awarded prior to the start of the thesis. Thesis projects are offered in the following research areas:
• Spintronics
• Magnetism
• Computer simulation studies
• Ultracold quantum gases and quantum optics
• Nanosciences
• Experimental Soft Condensed Matter Physics
• Polymer Sciences
Candidates should be fluent in written and spoken English. German is not required.
