     Chung Yuan Christian University (CYCU) was founded in 1955. We are a renowned comprehensive university in northern Taiwan with excellence in both teaching and research. In 2009, for the Essential Science Indicators (ESI) research ranking, we are ranked #1 in the field of engineering among all private universities and #10 among all universities in Taiwan. Our quality of education has also been recognized by various awards and grants such as the national Teaching and Learning Excellence grant from the Ministry of Education. Our devotion to research is characterized by the distinguished 14 major research centers; among them the government-sponsored R&D Center for Membrane Technology. Currently, CYCU enrolls 16,000 students in its six colleges and one school: College of Science, Engineering, Business, Design, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Humanities and Education, and School of Law. The university offers 27 graduate programs with 13 Ph.D. programs in its 27 departments. The International Fulbright Science and Technology Award


The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy to Mongolia is now accepting applications for the 2011 Fulbright International Science and Technology Award.
The International Fulbright Science and Technology Award is for Ph.D study at top U.S. institutes in science, technology and engineering. Eligible fields include: aeronautics and astronomics/aeronautical engineering, astronomy/planetary sciences, biology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, computer sciences/engineering, energy, engineering (electrical, chemical, civil, mechanical, ocean and petroleum),environmental science/ engineering, geology/ earth and atmospheric sciences, information sciences/engineering, materials science/engineering, mathematics, neuroscience/brain and cognitive science, oceanography, and physics.
To qualify, applicants must:
• Be a Mongolian citizen
• Hold a first university degree (B.A. or equivalent)
• Fluent English (Minimum IBT score of 92)
• Be available for a personal interview with the selection panel
By April 30, 2010 interested applicants must submit to the Public Affairs Office of the U.S. Embassy :

- A clearly written research objective
- A professional resume
- 3 Letters of reference
- IBT score report of 92 (Institutional TOEFL will be accepted, minimum score 580)

Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship program 2010-2011

The mission of the World Bank Group is to reduce poverty and improve living standards through sustainable development and investment in people. The World Bank Institute (WBI) is at the forefront of the Bank’s efforts to promote learning and deliver to the stakeholders, the best thinking and experience emerging from around the world on issues crucial to reform and socio-economic development.
Through its management of the Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJ/WBGSP) and the Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSM Fellowships), WBI supplements its training programs by providing opportunities for graduate study to promising professionals from developing member countries.
The objective of the Scholarship and Fellowship Programs is to help create an international community of highly-trained professionals working in the field of economic and social development. The community will actively participate in the capacity building efforts in the developing countries.
